Locomachs: The Headlines

LOCOMACHS comes from the full project name- LOw COst Manufacturing and Assembly of Composite and Hybrid Structures

LOCOMACHS was set up to focus on significantly reducing or totally eliminating the most time-consuming and hence non-added value operations within aerostructure assembly.

THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION supports LOCOMACHS. With a project budget of 33 M €, the project is being implemented over 4 years (2012-2016).

32 PARTNERS took part in LOCOMACHS, including some of the most prominent research institutes and universities in Europe as well as the leading European SMEs and large industries within the aeronautics sector. The project is led by Saab AB.
